ALL THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT PROJECT FI..

WHAT IS PROJECT FI? At the highest level, Project Fi is a prepaid phone carrier offering from Google. It works by giving you mobile data service on two mobile networks, which your phone will intelligently switch between — it also uses Wifi to make calls and send texts whenever available. Project Fi is a "prepaid" carrier, meaning you pay up front for your service in the trailing month, which is the opposite of a traditional carrier that bills you after you use the service. Fi is focused on simplified billing. You pay $20 per month for unlimited talk and texting, and a flat rate of $10 per gigabyte of data used. At the start of each month you simply estimate how much data you'll use and pay for that amount — at the end of the month you'll receive either a refund for data you didn't use, or pay a little extra on the next bill for data overages. You'll always pay at the same $10 per gigabyte rate, though, no matter what. HOW DOES IT WORK? Proje...

SAMSUNG DRAGS APPLE TO SUPREME COURT OVER PATENT LAWSUIT

Looks like the two tech-giants have taken it upon themselves to take care of the drama front of the tech world. As lawsuits and courtroom scenes between Samsung and Apple continue to persist, here’s the latest update. Samsung had agreed to pay Apple $548 million this month after negotiating an initial penalty of $1 billion over a patent copyright infringement lawsuit. While many saw this as a stroke of luck for Samsung to be able to pay only half the amount of the initial fine, Samsung clearly disagrees. The company requested the verdict to be over-turned by the Supreme Court by filing a motion with the highest court in the United States. Samsung believes the previous jury was not given enough material to understand the patent thoroughly. Since the cases in the American Supreme Court are chosen by the justices, there is no surety that Samsung will get a chance to fight it out with Apple there. But if it does indeed land up there, both companies will be required to make ...

SAMSUNG GALAXY S7 DESIGN LEAKED IN NEW VIDEO

A new short video leaked online by popular leakster @onleaks and uSwitch shows off what could be the design for the upcoming Galaxy S7 flagship devices.    The video shows a very S6-like design for the S7 only with more rounded sides that works well with the 2.5D glass on the front and back. The render also shows just one card slot for the SIM, which means that it is likely that  the S7 will not support MicroSD card. You also see a protruding camera lens on the back similar to its predecessor. The camera is also rumoured to house a 20 MP ‘BRITECELL’ camera sensor technology. The S7 Plus shown in the video measures 163.32 x 82.01 x 7.82mm. The 6-inch device pushes the front-facing camera to the top right end. One must take the rendered video with a pinch of salt. The actual device may look a little different but @onleaks has so far had a near 100% accuracy when it comes to leaked renders. That being said, renders have a way of showi...
